The First Ever East Midlands Heroes Festival

Three elements to the day:

The Tri-service recruiting & awareness day

" Possibly the first ever recruiting event involving all of the Tri-services
" Approx. 10 thousand school children FE year 9 upwards from Lincolnshire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire,
Leicestershire, Northamptonshire & Derbyshire able to receive free transport to the event
" Free entrance to all ( £5 per car parking )
" Trade stands covering majority of aspects of the services
" Infantry display team, army chefs, challenger tank, warrior tank, 3 assault walls, doge demonstration
team, laser ranges, indoor trade village, London bus, Mercian Band, Javelin weapon, various vehicles,
Royal Marine Chefs, naval nursing team, Royal Marine unarmed combat display team, tactical radar
system, RAF rally team, Search & rescue helicopter, Apache helicopter, Lynx helicopter, Gliders, RAF
band, Cheshire Corps Of Drums, Tigers Parachute Team & many more very high possibility of gun run
teams from all three services & many more
" General trade stands
" Elements of the Goose Fair
" Various other fun have a go elements
" The aim for the day is for young and old to experience and learn more about their services with hands
on experiences.
" There will be demonstrations throughout the day within the arena
" Gates open 10am



The Festival Display
" Co-ordinated display of display teams form the services also involving Lincolnshire police Dog Team.
" All of the above form the day will still be there and open until 8pm
" Festival display 6.30pm - 8-8.15pm
" Public can enjoy a summers evening of displays never seen before in the East Midlands

The Festival Ball
" 450 seated ball with drinks reception, grandstand seating for the display finishing with a 3 course
evening meal, auction and entertainment
" Formal ball with many extras!!!!
" Only 18 tables remaining out of 45
" Themed based on the tri services
" Serving personal will be in full mess dress
" Entertainment supplied by military bands

Sir General Major Dannett - Chief Of Staff will be attending as well as representatives from the other
two services
Bryn & Emma Parry founders of Help for Heroes will be attending
All money raised will go to Help for Heroes
